The Chevron Stool was carved from a single piece of dense (and very heavy) African hardwood (likely Iroko wood or Mahogany) by the Baoule tribe in Cote d'Ivoire. The chevron symbol is a symbol of good fortune and hope, and can also convey leadership, rank and honor.
